Natalia grew up making mud and berry potions, climbing trees, hopping fences to play tag, imagining secret worlds and fortress designs, writing stories, and catching crabs off the dock in New Jersey. Natalia holds a Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language and Hearing Sciences with an emphasis on child/family development from San Diego State University. She then went on to earn her Master's in Communication Disorders and Sciences from the University of Oregon. From pre-k teacher, summer camp counselor to researcher and licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, Natalia prioritizes play in early childhood through empowerment and reflection. She utilizes developmentally appropriate strategies to support nervous system regulation, shared joy, and communication access for all children.

Natalia's 6 years of experience, training, and research in child development and communication sciences allows her to emphasize connection for young children in their naturalistic environments. Natalia is a mover, storyteller, explorer, and creator. Outside of AFNS, you can find them exploring nature, doing headstands, baking desserts, making a mess, and swimming in the ocean.
